Védaste Songa, a boy from Cellule Kigarama, Rutangara Sector of Commune Mukingi in Gitarama Prefecture, describes how his neighborhood was first attacked during the Rwandan Genocide on April 23, 1994. During the attack, he escaped to Kabgayi. In June 1994, RPF Inkotanyi resuced him. Védaste states that he is against releasing genocide papertrators from prison.
