Philipine Nyiramfashimana, a girl from Cellule Murama, Gitumba Sector of Commune Nyakabanda in Gitarama Prefecture, explains how rumors circulated before the genocide that Tutsis were exterminating Hutus. She describes how Forces Armées Rwandaises soldiers killed people in her neighborhood. She concludes by relating how her mother and other relatives were tortured before being killed. Phillipine was ultimately rescued by the RPF Inkotanyi.
