Erasme Uyizeye, a boy from Kagogwe Sector of Commune Nyakabanda in Gitarama Prefecture, describes the challenges he faced during the genocide. While escaping with other refugees to Kigali, he was insulted and nearly killed. He also explains how his father was killed in a 1993 bomb blast and the injuries that his mother sustained.
