Abstract:
Vestine Mugiraneza, a girl from Nyamirembe Sector of Commune Kayenzi in Gitarama Prefecture, lists the people in her neighborhood who were killed during the genocide as well as those who participated in the killing of Tutsis. She also explains how Interahamwe were armed with clubs, hoes, and machetes. They attacked homes and set them on fire while killing people and looting property. Vestine escaped and hid in the bush until she was rescued.
