Abstract:

Charlotte Mutuyimana, a girl from Rwoga Sector of Commune Kigoma in Gitarama Prefecture, explains how her village was attacked on April 21, 1994. Hutus and Tustis formed a team and fought back the attackers. Charlotte hid in the bush for several days and then in different people’s homes until she was rescued. She also describes how her father was arrested and killed and how Hutus escaped when the RPF Inkotanyi was closing in.
