Abstract:

Ribert Dusabumuremyi, a boy from Cellule Gishari, Nteko Sector of Commune Mugina in Gitarama Prefecture, provides a list of his relatives who died and names of members of the Interahamwe that he knew and witnessed terrorizing and killing Tutsis. He also relates that he was visiting his grandparents at Kanzenze in Kigali Ngali when the killing started on April 6, 1994. Many people escaped to the church at Kanzenze Sector while he hid under the bed in his grandparents' house. Later, Ribert escaped to Kayumba before proceeding to Kanazi. While escaping, he witnessed Tutsis being attacked and their bodies being mutilated.
