Abstract:

M. Olive Nibagwire, a girl from Commune Mugina in Gitarama Prefecture, was orphaned during the Rwandan Genocide. She explains how Interahamwe attacked Tutsi with grenades and set fire to their homes and property. Some of her relatives were killed by grenades. Olive escaped the attack and went to a Catholic church before going to Bibungo. She was later arrested and beaten by gangs.
