Abstract:

Marie Chantal Uwamahoro, a girl from Cellule Remera, Muhororo Sector of Commune Mukingi in Gitarama Prefecture, provides names of her relatives and how they were each killed. She goes on to explain how she escaped and reached Kabgayi on April 15, 1994. Marie Chantal tells that life was very difficult for all refugees because they were constantly on the lookout for the Interahamwe. Refugees at Kabgayi were finally liberated by RPF Inkotanyi on June 2, 1994.
